Winchester Double Action Model 2540 bait casting reel. Nickel plated brass frame. Auction site says 150 yard capacity with a 3" disc diameter and 1 7/8" pillar length. It looks identical to the Model #2647. That shows a 200 yard capacity.
This real is beautifully smooth functioning; it could be fished right now! A moderate spin of the handle get you a full two plus turns of the spindle. Whisper quiet!
Bakelite side plate and opposite side trim ring. Clicker, but no other drag. Very Very Good condition for a reel probably made in the early 1900's. No box or papers; just a beautiful Winchester ... yes, the same Winchester!!
