These are old stock, but great new wallets. These are actually printed on the leather (yes, these are leather). They hold up exceedingly well. I carried one for about 7 years with almost no fading on the picture The exterior was still tough and not cracked and the interior nylon was just in great shape. I think it's still in a drawer somewhere and if it is I'm going to add that picture to these.
These two are photocopies of US Historic U.S. Military Payment Certificates. The Statue of Liberty one is a Series 591 5 Cents Military Payment Certificate. It was issued May 26, 1961 and stayed in circulation until January 6, 1964. The other is probably from Series 472, as those I have seen have the same US Shield and corner scrollwork .... but I have not exactly found that print as it doesn't have a denomination on it. Those circulated 1948-1951
In spite of the unique nature of the printing, these are very well made wallets .... for a bargain price. They were $50. Great for a young man (or woman) as a first wallet. Or for an old guy like me that needs "visual stimulation" to find things!!
Anyway, You will never have to worry about mixing up your wallet with someone else's again (ok... that is NOT a good reason to get one, but they really are both quality and distinctive)
