These are as tough as they get. Not bison, but steer harness leather. Chrome lobster clip fasteners. We sold a ton of them in the store .... and did not realize this box of "stragglers" was still here. I still have 3 pair and wear them most of the time. Company was "Amish Village" and they were a joy with which to deal.

Medium generally works for someone 5'5" - 5'8"
Large for someone 5'8" - 5'10".
No XL or larger in these and no smalls (though I'm not sure we ever had smalls), sorry.
If you have a "gut", you need to go bigger.
I have had some folks cut and lengthen the elastic (usually with a heavier piece), but that is a bit of work.
And FYI, it is not easy photographing suspenders ... on the ground, hanging or hanging on a gent.
