These Turquoise (one with the White Buffalo Turquoise) clad shells are so special. Wish I was a better photographer.
One is the Navajo Lizard design, one a turtle, the small one a heart and the other two are the life spiral - life coming from Mother Earth outward to all things living in a continuous cycle. The shells are covered outside right to the edge. They are light in weight, unique - so totally natural. The small heart one about quarter size and the others just a bit bigger, maybe half dollar size. I had a couple left over from the first round of these; a couple new. Never saw anything this well done; the coverings are just perfect, smooth and solidly attached.
Ambrosio Chavez is the artist/jewelry maker of these beautiful pieces. And he is from the Santo Domingo (Kewa) Pueblo.
