Interesting little guys here. Very shiny and so pretty hard to get good photographs with my I-pad (which is better than my I-phone).
Anyway, there were probably conchos for hat bands or belts. I do not have the Chicago Screws that fit these threads. There should be no issue in getting some at local hardware store. My guess is synthetic turquoise, due mostly to the black "matrix" lines. I could be wrong .... but just saying
