Hard-to-find Shell Pueblo necklace and matching wire hook earrings

$625.00

This one is very impressive - both in construction and in appearance.  A vintage Pueblo necklace, earrings and shell pendant. The Pueblo necklace and matching wire hook earrings feature tab style pendants created with various materials and strung on waxed cord. The necklace is finished off with Heishi beads in various materials and silver findings complete the piece nicely. The shell pendant features an overlay of various materials in a mosaic design and it is finished off with a twisted wire bail. These are great vintage pieces that would look great worn alone, together or with other necklaces.

My estimation of materials is that the black is horn, and very likely bison horn, as it is the only consistently black horn material.  The green(ish) are shades of turquoise; the white(ish) also shell/mother-of-pearl.  There are two reds - the darker maroon on the shell pendant and the brighter on the necklace and earrings.   I'm pretty sure the bright red is coral .. but I'm getting some help from someone who knows much more than i do ... and will report back.  However, it all appears to be natural materials.  The heishi beading/tube beading is consistent with available beading in the early part of the last century.
