The most modern of the Schutzen single shot, heavy barrel rifles I have had.  Says "Pre WWII - exact manufacture date unknown."  It is a 22 Long Rifle with a falling block single shot receiver.  Barrel is 28.5 inches.  Clean, intriguing,

Bore condition is "bright", the rifling is sharp (and the auction house rated the bore 9.5/10.

Retains about 90% of it's original finish.  Blued octagonal barrel shows light edge wear and scattered small marks from handling and use.  Screws are lightly worn but generally well preserved.  Light oxidation scattered about the metal.

The action functions correctly (thought neither myself or the auction house has fired this rifle).  The falling block locks up solidly and the set trigger is crisp.  As with all firearms, a thorough cleaning and inspection should be done upon receipt.

Overall, the auction house rated this rifle in "Very Good" condition.  I agree.

NOTE:  As of October 16, 2025, this gun is available but cannot be sold without using an FFL to FFL transfer.  Thus, it shows as "0" in online inventory.  Please come by or call if interested

This gun has an aluminum shoulder/butt plate rather than brass; smooth walnut stock, aluminum capped pistol grip ad long semi-beavertail fore end with finger grooves.

The front sight is a spring held blade dovetailed ore-to-aft to a serrated ramped base.  The rear sight is an adjustable u-notch leaf mounted to the scope grooved barrel for windage and elevation.  The rifle is also fitted with a fine Schutzen style micrometer aperture sight mounted on the tang, featuring precise elevation and windage controls and a large eye disk.
