Chrysocolla and Labradorite overlay resin bison skull

This is the display piece used as a prop in a bunch of these hand knit photos.

It is the last of two I bought from a young artist - Devon Morgan - about 5 years ago.  This  I didn't think they would be here this long, but hoping the "sale" pricing really tempts someone.  You tempted  yet?

They are very special; hopefully you agree.   It is one heck of an all Western display piece!

The "turquoise" color is Chrysocolla.  It's the "king of carbonate copper gemstones, is an alluring, vivid blue-green color and is often mistaken for turquoise because they share many visual similarities."    www.firemountaingems.com.  I absolutely agree!  

The opal-looking stone is actually Labradorite.   It is a Feldspar mineral known for its mystical iridescent flashes.  Labradorite is highly valued in crystal healing for its ability to transform energy and enhance psychic awareness.  www.charmsoflight.com.

This piece is quite heavy - 14 plus pounds ... but the stone is real, and thus the weight.  They hang easily and well with molded in hanger, so that is not an issue.  They also display well just down on a table, as you can see.  18" tall; 17" across the horns; 13" from top of skull to jaw bottom.

Oh ... I did paint the horns a shiny black; the silver just didn't look good.  If you really wanted them back to silver, I'd do that before it ships.  I just think the black adds something more natural.

It's an impressive alternative ... and fits a smaller space ... to the real thing.
