Dave Book Working Steel skinners

$425.00
Style

Dave is a workin' cowboy.  He was on the XIT Ranch, but is out in New Mexico currently.  His knives are hard to get, and made to work.

FOUR OF THESE KNIVES ARE SPECIALLY PRICED ... READ WHY BELOW; THEY ARE THE 2019 KNIVES I JUST GOT FROM DAVE.  THE FIRST 4 ARE REGULAR PRICE!!

The 2018 knives - Four left of the original 8.  Two are from horseshoe rasps/files. Two are from a plow disk.  All stamped with his DRB.  All excellent working steel, the kind you do not want to lose or loan.

The sheaths (three of these have sheaths ... one does not.. see pictures)  are made just for these knives by Kyle Bell of Folsom, New Mexico.  Kyle is/was "The Mountain Man" in the TV series of that name.  Shaped/molded rawhide or buckskin.

the 2019 knives - SPECIAL SALE ON THESE 4.  Dave just called and came by.  He needed money and cut me a deal on the 4 ... A, B, C and D.  No sheaths (yet).  Your choice for $165.  I've never had any of Dave's knives this cheap.  Only 4 .. at the moment.  He has a new makers mark - DB and Book

Most likely I will keep the narrow grain drill steel one; still thinking hard.  A, B and C have mesquite handles ... Dave just picks up good dead mesquite off the range.  The wide blade "D" has Hickory ... the remains of a good sledge hammer handle.  This is one heck of an opportunity!!

Want a sheath for one of the 4 Special Dave Book knives?  Fifty bucks and you designate cross draw, neck or belt.  See the Sheath tab and email or call me with what you want done.
