Don't know how many of these Charles has left in him. They are tedious, time consuming, intensive and tough on his bad shoulder. He loves the result, but the process has become painful ... spiritually and actually. So ...
This is the first of the 7 he has done over the past couple years that will be available. All the others went to a private collector for his children and grandchildren. His encouragement and patronage has kept these coming ... that and the fact that I would set aside certain bison robes as Charles selected them.
This hide is very large ... over 7' long and 6' wide
This one might be available for 10 minutes ... or maybe 30 days. If not snapped up before year end (my bet is that it won't last that long) it may well head to Arizona for the upcoming "Herd Wear" special auction. We will all see, won't we.
As with all of his, it is special. I will get him (as he has done in the past) to write up the symbolism and origin of each piece on it. But wanted it up on the site as quickly as I could.
All of his pigments are hand mixed to emulate ancient technique, but with durability and consistency foremost. Each symbol requires multiple applications. And you will see Charles handprint ... his signature in the tradition of the ancients, on the bottom right corner.
