This ore came from the Campbell Mine at Bisbee, Arizona. It closed in 1975. The only material is the old stock; no new material is available. For this particular stone, the Campbell Mine was the only source.
Campbellite cabochons can be very attractive, just look at this collection. Some pieces contain more red from Cuprite or more green from Chrysocolla while others LIKE THE ONES HERE ARE DOMINATED BY SHINING COPPER.

These were all obtained by auction from Western Trading Post about 7 years ago when a collection was disbursed. Beautiful; ready for mounting and hard to find.
