Buffalo Nickel Button Tie Chains

Back when I wore neckties ... like way back, one of our best knitters/friends/mentors came up with a "button hole" in a knit bison tie.  This bar slipped inside your shirt button and the bison nickel button stayed on the front of the tie.  Kind of like a tie tack on a chain, but just a bit different. 

That tie is long gone.  These three pieces of real buffalo nickels can be used "as is" for "something".  Or, clip of the chain and you have buttons once again.
