U-1 Mr. Hornaday was great at many things. Organizing people; taxidermy; studying animals and writing about them. Poetry? You can be the judge. I need to do a bit more research to see if there is a "why" to this book.
My interest was because it was W.T. Hornaday .... and it was poetry. Much appears to be views and incites from his far flung travels.
Interesting that there are some intentionally uncut pages; some edge foxing and a bit of a slip only at Table of Contents. Otherwise quite sound for 100 plus years.
