Hopefully "The List" will be back up before the Next Thursday Email ... it is in the works and I'm pumped about it! In the meantime, there is the "New" to take a peek at. Bob and I keep working on both that and the new that has arrived. BOOKS - The Ledgerbook of Thomas Blue Eagle

$24.00

2/28/25    Found another dozen of these ... a bit more expensive than the first ones - now $24 .... but issue price was $17.95 THIRTY YEARS AGO.  This isn't bad ... and still a great book.

I read about the first dozen pages, awestruck at the art ... ledger art ... before I read the little note inside the front cover.  Not all the copies I have gathered have that note ... but I will make copies to go in each before I send them out.

Get familiar with ledger art, please.  The squibs about the author, the artist and the rest of the production "team" at the back of the book is in itself another story within a story.

The thought, creativity and talent that went into this 72 page wonder is over the top... well, no, it (to me) is right on the top.  Not much gets this much praise from me any more.  Do hope you agree!

Ledger Book of Thomas Blue Eagle

I spent some time with Cheyenne and Arapaho leaders this week. Kept thinking about this beautiful book capturing what it’s like to spend time talking about the histories and listening to the stories. Beautifully captured.

Beautiful books

I purchased 2 of these for my great nephews and they look fascinating. Haven’t given them yet, but both boys will love them. These stories are just what kids need to get them interested in something besides fantasy cartoons

The Ledgerbook of Thomas Blue Eagle

We used this book to share with a class of middle-school of students. It was received enthusiastically with lots of questions. The physical book itself is wonderful and the art most appropriate and evocative of the times.
