But this book, so unassuming until you start reading ... and looking ... and picking your jaw back off the table (or the creek bed, stream, boat ... wherever you might be fishing and reading. 100 pages, every one a gem. The art by the author; the history by the author; the explanations and gentility .... by Mr. Schneider... the author and illustrator.
I don't want to ruin the many, many surprises ... but cannot stop adding pictures to this page.
Anyway, I just love this little (6" x 6") collection and plan to send copies to many friends. You might feel the same way after you flip the pages.
Keep in mind this is way out of print and all these are used, most of them very gently; some a bit more than others. No choice and frankly I don't mind. It's kind of a mystery as to who held it before and how often they smiled at the art and the stories.
