Wall E-1

"Christmastide" - Illustrated - Four Famous Poems by Favorite American Poets;   1877; 1878

It is the illustrations that set this book apart .... just beautiful woodcuts and engravings.

"The Rivers Path" by John Greenleaf Whittier

"Excelsior by Henry" by Wadsworth Longfellow

"The Rose" by James Russell Lowell

"Baby Bell" by Thomas Baily Aldrich

While the cover and boards are firm and tight, some of the first group of pages are coming loose from their seaming.  Gilt edges on all three sides; crisp and shiny gilt on the cover and spine.   A magnificent little book at close to 150 years of age!! (pages not numbered)
