They are genuine Indian Head nickels. They have been domed like the other buttons. But they have not had the copper loops or other means of attaching them to clothing. I think we had one fellow that did some of the doming but didn't want to do the soldering.
Anyway, if you have an idea ... or a soldering pencil, grab these cheap.
