I'm sure there were more of these, but this is the only one I have found in 30 years of chasing "buffalo" stuff.
Weight over 5 oz; cast brass. It's at least 124 years old. In fact, in taking the photographs I saw for the first time the "patent date of May, 1901.
This was one of many souvenirs available from the 1901 Pan American Exposition in Buffalo NY. I'm sure I still have some reproduction prints of the Stamps they created for the Expo. I'll toss one in (as soon as we find them).
I think the slant to the bison on top was intentional; makes it easier to grasp ... but just my guess. Nice patina and some verdigris (green hue aging) as well.
I found this in 2018 ... and the $135 was the price I put on it then. We know it will be "worth" what you pay for it ... or substantially more!
