Made specifically for Buffalo Gold/Herd Wear, these well constructed purely American bison leather vests weigh only 1lb 10 oz on a large vest. It is about 3 oz bison, tanned in upstate New York. Quality American stitching, as well. Nylon lined with brass snaps.   One inside breast pocket.  The dark areas are part of the bison leather tannage and not any kind of stain.  It's part of the natural bison hide variations.  If you are looking for "pristine", this is not it.  But if you want quality and durability, jump in.
