I've had these well over 25 years. The 3 empties have been on display .... but the 2 full packs, along with their packs of cigarette rolling papers and been wrapped up in their original bubble wrap until just when I started putting this on line! I did not realize they were full!
Best guess is that these are from the very early 1900's, but I cannot find anything definitive regarding them. And I have not seen any "full pokes" yet. Even the Liggett and Meyers Tobacco Exhibit at the Durham County, N.C. - super nice folk who encourage questions .... didn't have any information on dates.
There are a couple articles about quilts made from these sacks ... and that seems to be the best source of information and valuation. Just another piece of our history..
