Dobie has a great great story in here; "A Texan Teaches at Cambridge ... with 9 illustrations. He did; he survived to write about it ... and it is pure Dobie!
It is a vignette glimpse into the life and mind of a larger-than-life figure in American literature.
The National Geographic Magazine, April 1946, Vol. LXXXIX (89, I think) - Number Four (I'm sure!). One of these three is JUST the first part up to and including the Dobie article; Some fool split the mag to make a few more bucks (but it wasn't me). Has what I wanted ... but just so you know.
