This is a rare one!  And while "geographically specific", it contains a huge amount of early American political information (if you are into that kind of knowledge and detail).

Author Jabez D. Hammond, LLD (Doctor of Law), was a physician, a lawyer, & a politician who provided a highly detailed, first-hand account of the shifting political landscape in New York… a book that is now an excellent source of research for 19th-century American political history, and early American state politics, in particular!  

     Exterior brown leather boards scuffed but intact on Vol 1, same for Vol 2 but the front hinge is all but let go… HOWEVER the interior paste down in Vol 2 still holds, so the front board remains with the book.  Interior pages in both volumes are off-white and crisp, with the foxing that sometimes develops over time.    This is one that might well be worth professional restoration; Ronson can help with that if you might be interested.
