Herd Wear Bison/Silk "Technical" Structured Boot Sock

$62.00
Size

11/22/23- Out of Large and XL until sometime in January, 2024 ...so sorry.  They come in .... and they go right back out.  If you can use the crew height we still have Large available (no XL in crew, either right now)

We have ten years now (and counting) of happy customers with comfortable and warm feet in this "super sock." Stop cold feet and enjoy your outdoor time with our bison/silk/nylon/spandex Technical Boot Sock.

Bison down and silk ... two of natures most perfect insulators to keep you at body temperature. For active wear all fall and winter: not too hot and never too cold.

Terry loop under the foot bed adds comfort; vented and structured over the instep keeps it in place as you move. There is a nicely placed and very comfortable terry loop shin pad. and just enough spandex to hold this sock above a 10" boot top – but not enough to restrict circulation. Nylon over-plaited in the toe and way up past the heel for long, smooth wear. Machine washable on cold.

Knit by Fox River Mills in Osage, IA. with our custom-produced Buffalo Gold half bison/half silk yarn

Let me also explain the percentages of each yarn that will be on the sock packaging.  We send Fox River our 50% bison down/ 50% silk yarn.  They design and knit the socks and add nylon in the toe and heel and spandex to create the final sock.  They have to calculate by weight (not by yardage) how much of each yarn and fiber are in each batch (and each size) of our socks.  So ... while the base yarn that touches your foot is still half bison/half silk, the total percentages have to include the construction materials .. the nylon and spandex ... which brings the total bison and silk percentages down.  Hope that is understandable.

Warm kids feet @ Sipapu!

Our entire group of 12 had on our Herdwear socks!! Not a single “my feet are cold” whine. We all love our bison wool footwear. They are thick & soft, keep our feet dry and therefore warm, even on the ski slopes. The little kids were so excited to get new socks with the lil bison emblem. (A couple of parents are Buff alumni) We were so thankful we had these socks for them. Could have bought others on Amazon, but found nothing made in the good ol’ USA. That makes a difference to this family. Thanks for the personal service Cecil and Ron!! You went above and beyond. That’s what West Texas is all about. Pics to follow

Most Comfortable Boot Socks

Saw this company featured on the Texas Bucket List. Was fascinated about the bison hair products. Ordered a pair for the Bison/Silk boot socks. I can honestly say they are the most comfortable footwear I have ever worn. I would recommend trying a pair for yourself. I will be looking for more HerdWear products.

Bison socks are the best!

Wow...these are freaking amazing compared to cotton socks. Moisture wasn't too big of an issue when I wore these with my waterproof work boots and much much warmer compared to cotton. I'll definitely be purchasing more bison wool clothing down the road. These socks were a good start for winter items and definitely worth the price in my opinion.
