Antique Early Maple Half Stock .44 percussion caliber long rifle
This is a beautiful classic display rifle. Very nice maple wood half stock percussion rifle ... with no visible markings or maker. Well worth the money!
This rifle was made circa mid 19th Century. It has a stout 36" octagonal barrel in .42 caliber, large enough to take small to medium sized game or to defend the homestead against unwanted aggression. This gun has brass furniture and double set triggers. Carved cheek rest, as well. Notched rear barrel sight and blade front sight. This was not a cheap gun in it's day. One missing screw/pin (see picture) on top of action.
This one overall is in good condition. Original finish and not cleaned ... all of it's "history" is right up front on display. A beautiful rifle ready to display.
Comes with hand made oak and padded steel wall brackets, well made and ready to go!
