A fully functional American Damascus steel (15N20 + 1095) knife ... sharp, sharp ... and hand made custom designed sheath that will serve as well as exhibit a south western mountain man or Comanchero look. Below is Charles description of the materials used ... and some of the "why". This is another once-in-a-lifetime Charles Sinclair creation. Usable, but with museum quality display value. You get to decide!
- 4" blade; 8.25" overall length of knife
- Damascus Steel - American made - 15N20 + 1095 ... made to my specs.
- Panther humerus bone handle completely filled and stabilized with west system g2 epoxy.
- Cold worked copper wrap with copper rose head ship nail rivets.
- Sheath inner fully welted / sewn veg tan horse hide.
- Outer is brain tan Wapati (elk) with brass tack dots, verde natural pigment shop made paint, patina copper cones and tin horse hair cones.
- The 3 inch wide belt loop
- Beads are glass Czech seed beads sewn with Irish shoemaker linen.
- Completely hand laced and stitched
