Herd Wear Bison Utility Leather Gloves

Made just for us in Gloversville, NY, these are an all around usage bison leather glove.  Perfect for driving; for gardening or yard work.  Excellent for times you want maximum flexibility in the glove but still need your hands protected.

American tanned American bison leather supplied by the 100 plus year old Sunderland Tannery in Gloversville, NY.   Please note, this glove runs right at one size smaller than our others.  So those who use a Large (like I do) should order an XL instead (which is what I wear in this glove ... and it is my fav of all our bison leather gloves).

Durable work gloves

These bison leather gloves were very comfortable from the start. I treated them once with Obenauf's Heavy Duty LP and they held up to splitting a fair amount of live oak, then storm cleanup after Hurricane Ian blew through town, and collecting three long beds full of oak from trees toppled by the storm before developing a hole in the index finger. I like a snug fit and the medium fit my size 9 hands just right. My only nitpick would be that the fingers in the pair I received were all cut even with each other, whereas my pinky is set back from the other three fingers. I only noticed when I first slipped them on, but not while working. I'd like to try the Bull gloves for comparison, but they always seem to be sold out when I check. In the meantime, with lots of wood to process, I'll be happy to order another pair of the Herd Wear Utility gloves.

These are the very best work gloves I've ever worn. I look forward to many years of protecting my hands while I'm working outside.

Too pretty for work

These gloves have been great! I’ve been wearing them a lot as we have been clearing a fence line that involves moving wood, driving the tractor and skid steer, and pulling old barbed wire out of the ground. I felt bad about getting them dirty since they look so nice. They are looking a bit more authentic now with tree sap and hydraulic fluid stains. The gloves are softening to fit my hands well. My only complaint it the wrist area is really too big for me so they slip off a bit. Having an adjustable strap would be useful for me as the elastic isn’t tight enough to keep them on my slim female hands. I probably realized this when I tried them on, but they were so good looking I couldn’t resist them. Still a good buy.

So, what if we 'swapped' them for a pair of the Midwest bison leather gloves in ladies size 8? (check them out on the website) Still no wrist strap, but a much slimmer wrist; basically the same finger length. Just let me know and I'll send a pair your way to try ... and I get to keep the 'break in beauty' if you decide to take me up on the offer. Best (and do watch out for that barb wire ... never good on leather of any kind!) Stay safe.
