What a whirlwind the last 90 days have been .... more swirly and brisk than usual.

What a whirlwind the last 90 days have been .... more swirly and brisk than usual.

The plan was .... and sort of still is .... to take the Thursday Emails and trim them into Blog Posts.  But that takes doing, and while there has been a lot of that, there has also been some don't-ing and probably even a bit of un-doing.  So the emails (if you are on them mail list) keep going on their own.  This will have to suffice as a "blog" for the moment.

I really do not like not having something "fresh" up here for you to either read or ignore.   Yes, that is a double negative; It's my blog!  But even something to ignore needs to change from time to time.

At the moment in am still in Ft. Worth, Texas trying to help Vicky with back and hip issues.   By help I mean to and from appointments and trying to "interpret" what the docs are saying into "Vicky Speak".   I've had over 30 years to become a translator ... but even with that I am not always proficient.

Anyway, back at the ODC, Bob has things well in hand.  There will probably be one more simple Thursday e-blast and then all quiet until 2026.  It has been a full few months, and the horizon is still full of places and things.

One will be back to Southwest Hide Co in Scotts Bluff, NE to sort hides for hair on tanning.  And then back to Brush, CO to get the fiber shearing season underway with Clint Holmes.  We are so lucky to have Clint back this season; he is superb.

Shortly after will be the National Bison Association 2026 Winter Conference and Gold Trophy bison sale in Westminster, CO.  You all are welcome to sign up and come to that great event.  Wrapped inside it will be the World Premier of "NATIVE", Part 1; the documentary 4 years in the making (so far).  More on that on the National Buffalo Foundation Website or at Meet My Neighbor Productions.

When I find the guy that has put me through this race I intend to kick him squarely in the ...... oh, wait!  Yep, did it to myself.  If this was the first time, but then the other saying kicks in:  If you aren't moving full speed you're going backwards (or something like that).

Anyway, glad to have you all along for the ride, the encouragement, the kind notes and the "funding" that keeps me going.   We lost ... at least in terms of public figures, 3 seventy-eight year old's this week; Rob Reiner, Joe Ely and Jimmy Stringer.  This one hopes to press on for a while longer.  Hang on for the ride, please and thank you.

Oh, the picture?  That is one from the bison robe Charles Sinclair just finished this month.  First one of his to be available recently.  It is huge; it is striking and it is pure Charles Sinclair.
