Again, there is no joke here, (well, maybe 3 was an attempt) although I'll see if I can come up with a better one before we part company. "Down a Great River"- The Mississippi from source to Gulf - Exceptional story ... though there is some controversy. With full length map. (Reproduction Maps also available separately) 2 printings - 1891 and 1893
"THE BATTLE OF GETTYSBURG". A rare, fragile 1884 booklet from an cyclorama exhibit that, despite being "permanently located in Chicago", now only exists as a copy from Boston.
This little gem is Ronson's hopefully soon to be completed "mobile bookstore". I agree; not everything is going to fit. I think he's paring it down to only those things he is currently reading .... or something like that. Help him out;buy a couple books today!
It's both a great display and a superb educational piece of American history - the re-print map (right side) from the original 8 fold out of the 1891 Publication -"Down the Great River."
Click the link below to see what is still "right now" available from the "Book Hoard" - the truckload find of rare and antique books and bound magazine from the 1600's on up to the early 1900's. It's a trip just to look at those still here! Even better to hold and marvel.
