The Book Hoard... March 15th.

Herd Wear Distribution center

Yea, I know:

(1) it's Sunday;

(2) I used "Knock Knock" back in October and

(3) .... there was a 3 but damned if it didn't escape by the time I got 1 and 2 out.

Again, there is no joke here, (well, maybe 3 was an attempt) although I'll see if I can come up with a better one before we part company. There is/was much too much "content" for this to have been a part of "Thursday". So, let's pretend you are looking for/needing something to read today and in a few days to follow. Why pretend; lets do it for real.

Oh, Look here - books and more books to follow. Ronson Page has sent over another grouping from the BOOK HOARD. Let me get right to them.

FYI - all the links back to the actual book are in blue - just click the blue link to see the whole story.

"THE BATTLE OF GETTYSBURG". A rare, fragile 1884 booklet from an cyclorama exhibit that, despite being "permanently located in Chicago", now only exists as a copy from Boston.

This little gem is Ronson's hopefully soon to be completed "mobile bookstore". I agree; not everything is going to fit. I think he's paring it down to only those things he is currently reading .... or something like that. Help him out; buy a couple books today!

Still Available from "THE BOOK HOARD"

It's both a great display and a superb educational piece of American history - the re-print map (right side) from the original 8 fold out of the 1891 Publication - "Down the Great River."

Click the link below to see what is still "right now" available from the "Book Hoard" - the truckload find of rare and antique books and bound magazine from the 1600's on up to the early 1900's. It's a trip just to look at those still here! Even better to hold and marvel.

A historical combination of art and politics; sound familiar? Beautiful illustrations on "situations" long over while others rage today. Actually quite soothing to browse.
