Two available. One black Type II. Designed for .38 Colt. Made between 1896 and 1902. Same as the Type I except that the size of the belt loop was increased to fit over the mills double loop cartridge belt. Embossed with the "US" on front. Missing brass tie down loop.
The lighter colored (Fair leather) is a 1892 fourth Type. Also embossed with "US" on front and on the back with "Rock Island Arsenal 1904 HEK"
Appx 30,500 second type holsters manufactured in black leather and 13, 939 in "fair" leather.
