Today: December 24. Granddaughter Meghan's birthday (poor child!) Bob has gotten all orders out the door .... but we will be "standing down" until Thursday. Our best wishes to all our great folk out there for a safe and enjoyable time. No more emails till next year ... promise! The "LIST" however will keep getting new stuff added (and yes, the Trask and Phelps shoes have all gone to various Panhandle charities). There are also several very interesting "new arrivals" to share .... next year.

BOOKS -The Kentucky Rifle - Special Edition

£118.00

by Capt. John G. W. DIllin - 1998

100 plus pages of pure Americana - The Kentucky Rifle in all it's incantations.

This is a red leather bound gold edged special printing; rather large format  8" x 11", but by no means a "coffee table" volume.

Plenty of plates to follow along on the details of each gunsmith and style.  Tools, accessories, mountings.  An excellent education and reference all in one.

Since I do have a number of "early" Kentucky and/or Pennsylvania rifles, a lot of what he describes helps me to way better understand what I am holding at any given time.   A complete and classic volume if you are going to own, collect or just want a fine education on the how and why our rifles have evolved.  Fascinating!
