I thought we would never see any more of the men's ULU boots ... but I found an east coast group that had bought out the last of this style, still have some inventory and were willing to sell them. This one, the "TUPIK" is a little different than the ones that were my favorite, the "ANUI". Still very nice. very serviceable (and I have already pulled out a pair for me for this winter's "field work").
Bison leather upper, lined with 100% natural New Zealand sheep shearling wool, EVA midsole and dual-density rubber outsole with mountain bike inspired design. Anatomically correct last for foot health. Plastic shank for added stability, support and proper flex. Removable molded footbed for greater comfort. Twin elk leather pull loops. Easy slip on and off.
This Tupik one is about 3 inches lower than the ANUI, wider at the top making it easy to pull on and off, an elastic side gusset both sides and a bit softer skin than the Anui. They do run just a bit short; my normal is a 10 but the 11 works better.

I bought these boots because I had another pair that I wore continuously for four years period. They are splattered with paint of Ben through snow rock all types of building projects. The leather and the boots are still in one piece though they look ugly. I decided to buy another pair because these are hard to find her wear was an absolute pleasure to work with. They even sent me a handwritten note thanking me for business. Who does that It was my first order with them. They were professional and quick. Picked up a pair of Ulu boots that were sold out everywhere but here. Of course made with American Bison leather.

Well made, and stayed warm and cozy in 0 to 15 deg temp. The unique tread gave good traction.
These are great boots. So great that I bought two pair for myself. I am a women's size 11+ and the men's 10 fit great. They definitely look like men's boots, which....they should being men's and all :-) They are toasty warm with good traction and appear to be very water resistant.
Even better than the boots though is Herd Wear's customer service. So friendly and accommodating. All around fantastic. Thank you Herd Wear and keep up the good work!
It was purchased as a Christmas Gift. I cannot review it until I see how they are received and how well they function. Ask me after Christmas
Fantastic product. Very well constructed. True to size for me. Going to apply some more leather treatment before winter seriously kicks in, to enhance water resistance.

I love how comfy my ULU Tupik it will take a while to break them in as they are tight fit. Now if I could just find some snow in Arizona to slosh around in.
They are the warmest boot I've ever worn. The materials and construction are flawless. They pull on easily and stay put while walking. The grip in snow is sufficient to keep this old logger on his feet. These are highly recommended!
