Hand Painted Bison Robe - Charles Sinclair

Sold out
$6,924.00

Looking for spectacular?  This hand painted pictorial bison robe speaks for itself.

The explanation of the art is well worth understanding.  In Utah's Nine Mile Canyon are

the worlds' longest set of petroglyphs.  Charles has been there numerous times sketching and photographing (and just staring in awe).  He has for most of his life been a "student" of native American art.  This is his "Holy Grail" and he reveres the works.  His colors on these are monochrome, and he has used a different color for the different sections of the canyon wall where he has seen the art depicted.  He has offered to discuss in more detail his understanding and re-creation with anyone interested so you, too, have full appreciation  of this hide.

The bison robe itself was a danged big one - 7'9" x 6'; one of the biggest I've had here in years.  It is beautifully tanned at the Moyle Mink and Tannery in Heyburn, ID.  Without the art this was a $2200 hide.

Charles has been working on this for months ,, and here it is

And a personal plug ... this is the kind of "thing" that I will continue to bring to all of you through my on-line portal.  Things about bison and history that you just cannot find ... or creations from people still compelled to "build it right" .. right here in America.

Thanks for looking .... come back soon.
