This gent, Mahmood Tahir, has been supplying me beautifully made Damascus steel knives for close to 15 years. In the Retail Store, we sold hundreds and hundreds of his knives. People picked them up; marveled at the patterning and quality ... and the prices were unexpectedly low.
We have "re-designed" these sets to include a paring knife, a boning knife, a slicer, chef knife and cleaver. All very necessary in any kitchen setting! The fork was Mr. Tahir's thought .... and a great one!
Online, we don't sell a fraction of that many. So we don't buy like we use to. Mahmood sincerely told me he needed business ... and made me an offer neither you or I should fail to take. I did.... so now you can.
Please understand that on the three (3) new style sets, these are just now (December 18, 2025) - in production. Delivery and shipping to you will be approximately mid-January 2026.
The only sets available right now are the Red, White and Blue handled sets in the brown leather knife roll.
We do very little overseas .. but these Damascus steel knives are the exception. As much as anything, it is the integrity of the makers that has kept us coming back for more .. and more. You will not be disappointed as well as extending a hand of commercial "friendship" to some hard working and deserving individuals we will never have the pleasure of meeting. Except by their knives.

Wandered by the Herd Wear store eastbound, did a U-turn and was happy to have stopped. I’m not much of a shopper but this place is great. Darlene was and is really a fine person, very patient and helpful. We got some very warm bison gloves, good sausage and once home I ordered a set of unique Damascus steel chef knives I’d seen in the store, with plans to break the set up for holiday gifts. I got and used the knives, like them so much called and asked Darlene if she could get me 3 more of one of the knives from the set...and pair of gloves for my wife. No problem. Darlene can get it done.
Suggest you stop by or look them up online. I know the gloves aren’t cheap, but they’re the real deal. I’ve lived and worked in Alaska for 40 years, commercial fishing and mining, exposed to lot of raw weather requiring real gear. Herd Wear has it.
