Buffalo Soldiers Prints by Alex Durr; USMC

There are two prints in this group.  I've had them for a number of years.  Had no idea who the artist actually was, other than the name "Alex Durr" ... and a very distinctive signature on the prints.  They are rousing, action filled and I think well capture the energy and passion for which the Buffalo Soldiers were known.

The only Alex Durr the internet brough up as an artist was a Marine who is recognized for his Marine works from Iraq.  Take a look at this article and art; it's a tribute to both the Marines and Major Durr:  

Well, today, only by comparing the signatures on these two and a number of his others, am I certain that Major Alex Durr, fighter pilot, Marine artist ... he did these two pieces.  I've put a couple pics of Durr's Marine works in here partly because the are so intense .... and so you, too, can compare the signatures.  I do not have any of those for sale and the only thing Durr did that I can currently find for sale (although there are a bunch of great pictures of works he has done over the years ... just search) is this one 

They are my favorites.   They are each 20" x 16" ... good size prints.  The originals I am pretty sure were watercolors (which is a medium Durr says he enjoys a lot).

You get one copy of each print - both of them - for just $20.  Shipping is a bit more as the cost of mailing tubes has gone way up.
