BOOKS - "Making a Hand"; The Art of H.D. Bugbee

Mike is the absolute foremost authority (still living) on Mr. Bugbee.  He is also one of the coolest dudes you will ever meet ... if you are that lucky.

He and I share an absolute fascination with the works and the life of this "local" guy... just that Mike has done a lot more work, held in his hands a lot more of the art, spent more time talking with those who also knew or appreciated Bugbee's work.  Yep, Mike in my Bugbee hero!

As he says in the intro, at the tag end, Bugbee received a letter in 1947 from a gent in South Dakota wanting to know if Mr. Bugbee might have put all of his pictures in a book that the man could purchase.  Seventy years later Mike did just that (or very close).
