What a great set of books! Insights and drawings of some of history's (at least history up until 1894 when this seven volume set was published) more notable people.
The hinges are starting to get a bit crisp, but the text seems still well bound. The gold imprint on the covers is bright and clean. Great images and artwork throughout.
I can find different reprints available at around $25 per volume, and a few scattered single volumes of this 1894 original .... but not a full set like this one!
