S2-1 Jack was an actual expert in the history, the manufacture and the kinds of barbed wire used to tame the western US.
His publications are all through his own "Cow Puddle Press". For years he ran the "Sunset Trading Post" right on US 287 (same highway on which Herd Wear is located), but about 175 miles south of us in Sunset, Texas.
Excellent illustrations and spot on accurate. Truly the "Bible" of barbed wire.
