If it weren't for the "discoloration" on the cork handle and the wear on the silver info tag also on the handle, would I seriously doubt this rod has ever been fished. There is some missing paint on the side of the reel seat, but no scratching on the real seat itself.
Big selling point of this rod style was stainless wire guide wrapping .... which may not have been as big a deal is they wanted to make it. It is still a beauty to hold and behold.
These rods are mid 1960 on to early 1970. Early hollow glass rods for Heddon. Fiberboard case, stitched rod sleeve.
