This bronze casting really needs no description. Sommers portrays every emotion in the work. It was after gathering several of his Buffalo Soldier pieces that I ran across this and a few other of his statues done years ago for Life International Ministries. I've often thought about how he could put such beauty and such misery together - tell the story and never say a word. Enough said.
