August 9, 2024 UPDATE:   I took 2 of these Traveler wool hats to Alaska fishing -for Ron and myself.  Ron did, too.  The hats took it well  My head stayed dry (see inside pics); the hat did soak up quite a bit of water but dried darn close to perfect.  The leather band did stretch and then shrink back.  Overall, very happy ... but do suggest that this is not a foul weather hat.  A little rain would be just fine; 3 days is a bit too much.   Overall, I think these are a great value.    JULY 26.- took mine back up to AK this year.
