Midwest Glove - American Made Bison Leather Work Gloves

These are the only gloves I’ll buy. I’ve tried all kinds of other brands and leathers. All other gloves I’ve used last about a month. Now, I confess, I put a pair of gloves through a lot and expect a lot. Everything from pulling briar bushes to pulling barbed wire fence and everything in between. These Buffalo gloves made by Midwest Glove and Gear are the only ones to hold up. They lasted a year and I’m now on my second pair. They run small so get the next size up. I waterproofed mine by putting them on and sticking my hands in a bucket of water, soaking them real good. Then I let them dry on my hands to form fit. After that I put mink oil all over them - especially around the seams - and baked all that in the oven at 175 for an hour. End result is a beautiful mahogany colored glove that’s soft, waterproof, and tough as nails. You’ll love the gloves. Get two pair while you’re at it. You don’t want to be without them.

The American Made Bison Leather Work Gloves by Midwest Glove are excellent. They are strong, elegant (even for a work glove!) and very well made. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and durable work glove that also looks good, feels good, and is guaranteed not to wear out after a few months' regular use.

Special praise is also due to Cecil, who runs Herd Wear Retail. He exchanged the large pair of gloves, that were sent in error, for the correct size in medium without a hitch. He even sent a pre-paid and addressed return envelope for them, and sent out the replacement gloves immediately!

Haven't worn them yet tried them on fit was good bought them for archery deer hunting climbing tree's is hard on the hands these will work

Tough gloves. I finally wore a hole in them after four months of continuous raising Bison, pigs and general farm work and mechanic work. I’ve never had any other pair of gloves stand up to that kind of abuse.

Really good work gloves for the price, so far the have taken on 4000 feet of barbed wire, welding slag, hot metal, and briers. Just wish they were a little thicker than your average glove.

Got these gloves on the first and have used em just about a few times a week at a job at a hardware store, they seemed good enough until today when I noticed I’ve got about a pinprick sized hole on my right glove’s middle finger, which definitely seems like it’ll be getting quite a bit bigger with the fairly average wear it will be receiving, no clue where the hole came from but I must say I’m slightly disappointed as these gloves haven’t been treated harshly at all, just about a few hours a week at most for about two weeks now of moving cinderblocks or gravel and soil bags, which I figure any glove should be able to handle well enough. Either way they’re pretty comfortable and seem otherwise fairly sturdy, perhaps I just got a fluke in terms of the hole it’s already gotten.

Justin; Hey. I'll be glad to send you another pair ... either the same Midwest bison leather or the heavier 'Herd Bull'; double check me on size please and I'll get them on the way. That said, I don't know how many cinder/cement blocks you might have moved, but you see the 'sanded' look on both of the visible fingers? Anything that will abrade ... rub ... against leather will eventually wear it out. Not saying at all that is abuse ... those gloves are made to keep your skin from doing the same. But, just like trying to work barb wire, those grains of sand and rock act just like really rough sandpaper against leather (which after all is just skin that has been preserved. No matter; let me get you another pair of your choosing and see how they behave. And we have had any number of working guys use some kind of tape - duct, electrical ... something wrapped around the fingers that will cut and wear out ... and be replaceable when it cuts ... and the glove is still good underneath. Hey there Cecil, awesome to see you reply back so soon and especially in good faith, haven’t seen that in a while from other places. I’m a size small in gloves, and regarding whether the type of glove, I do believe herd bull may be best, but that is of course if it’s in stock, if not then the regular bison glove will be just fine. And I most certainly will take care to wrap both the old and new in duct tape, as I do fully intend to continue using the current gloves seeing as they are fairly comfortable and have otherwise been good gloves regarding other aspects.

I bought these fine looking gloves for my wife who does a lot of gardening. She finds the gloves soft yet strong enough to do her yard work. The price is really good for what you get. Highly recommended.
