S#: 11989; Matching on Receiver, Barrel, and Forend | 18” Plain Twist Damascus Barrels | 14" LOP | Cutdown Stage Coach Shotgun | Silver Shield Crest on top of stock behind receiver tang | Metal Buttplate
CONDITION: Good. Receiver shows a worn CCH finish with more of a brown spotted patina, but no pitting and has crisp and clear markings. Barrel has a nice darkened patina finish with Damascus swirl pattern peeking through. No front bead sight. Has been welded back on since cut down. Markings are crisp and clear. Bores look very good for the age with just some minor pitting, more prominent at the muzzle. Wood stock is good and solid with some handling marks. Action has a nice lock up with easy push-button function. Both hammers mechanically function as they should, nice and tight. Overall a good stage coach shotgun.
A superb example of Parker Brothers manufacturing; the quality of this close to 150 year old coach gun; wow. The beautiful part is it appears no prior owner, other than whomever modified it from full barrels to coach gun length, has tried to "clean up" this weapon. This is a classic original, solid wood and so well patinaed, and at an exceptional price.
CLASS: ANTIQUE
