I first met Michael when he was the Curator of Art and Western Heritage at the Panhandle Plains Museum - The acknowledged "Smithsonian of the West" - around 2012.  He is genuine, he is knowledgeable and he is one great dude!   He moved on to the National Cowboy Museum in OKC ... and has kept writing, speaking, researching and learning.    He is still a great, approachable, smiling expert on Texas and Western Historical Art.
