Back in Goodnight and hard at it. Bob and I are continuing to clean both the website and the Distribution Center. My sincere apology to those few that order things that we didn't have; trying very hard not to let that happen. I am told that we will have bison down fingerless gloves back in stock very soon ... I have seen and tried on the production samples and they are perfect! This is huge, so keep an eye and ear out. I will send out a specific email once we know that they are in route. Will blog about the National Bison Association Conference shortly. Don't hesitate to call or mail me if you have a question about anything ......(well, anything pertaining to bison or fishing) ...Cecil@HerdWear.net or 817-992-8220. --- More soon ... and lots more.
Today: Still a few bison full hair winter robes on sale. I will work on posting specific pictures for those left. Watch the next newsletter for more special "stuff".

Goodnight Texas (The Band) in Goodnight, Tx. (the Herd Wear Store locale)

It was awesome!  It was epic!

I wish you all could have joined us July 2 evening.  Yes, it was hot for a while, but turned into another perfect Texas night and a memorable one.  Avi Vinocur and Patrick Dyer Wolf came, played, sang.  We all shared memories of how they came up with the name of the band; how they have ... for no sane reason ... traveled the roads to Goodnight, Texas to see their namesake.

Two upstanding young men with immense musical talent.  The songs they have written and perform; the guitar, mandolin, banjo riffs and harmonies.  Two strong voices blended and rehearsed into a show none of us will forget.  It explains why we get "pilgrims" from all over - just random visitors that have taken to heart the kind words from The Band about The Place. People coming in here to see for themselves why the band is not only proud of their Namesake bump in the road, but why they and we share this immense pride in how we all live.  Community, support, tolerance, song and breaking bread.  And great music!

Son Ron cooked and served a perfect bison taco bar for the crowd, which included virtually everyone in Goodnight and a nice contingent of "ticket buyers" ... the folks who ponied up donations for our community fundraiser.  There were no politicians!
