Our latest from Bollman Hat Company in Adamstown Pa.  This hat has been several years in the creation as it it the first time in almost 150 years that Bollman has use muskox fiber .... supplied by our friends at Jacques Cartier in Banff, Canada .. in blending with Texas wool for a totally upscale and unique in the world crushable hat.

Muskox ... or "Qiviuk" as the fiber is called in the Arctic, is one of the world's premier luxury fibers ... very very soft, drapey ... and expensive.

The styling is pure genius; somewhere between a fedora, an Aussie and a western gambler ... inputting to this new topper a bit of each.  Wear it city or country; casual or formal, night or day.

"Oxford" ... a heathered grey that shows off the muskox. 

Comes with a black muskox leather band specially built for us by Chacon of New Mexico.  Or, if you prefer, a black bison leather band.   Just leave a note

Arctic Circle felt hat

First off I love this hat. There was a glitch with hat-band (thus the 4 star rating). This was sorted out. The hat seems very well made and should last a long time. Highly recomend.

Gary: Thank you for not 'dinging' us more than that one small star; 'glitch' is a kind word for my screwing up twice. And, yes ... that is one of the best hats we have ever had come out of Bollman Hat Co. Thanks again.

"Arctic Circle" Muskox blend crushable hat

In my original order I indicated that I wear a size 6-7/8 to 7 hat. Herd Wear does not provide hats in various sizes, rather they provide "small, medium, and large" hat sizes. It was suggested that I try a size "medium". It turns out this was too large. I sent the hat back to Herd Wear and Cecil exchanged it for a size "small", no questions asked. This hat fit perfectly, and looks GREAT! Cecil was great to work with as well!

Very nice

I’ve had a few wool crushables over the years, but this is by far the best ever. Granted it was quite a bit more money but well worth it. Have only had the opportunity to wear it a few times and it is insanely comfortable. Everyone who sees it loves it and wants one. Extremely happy with purchase. Also the bands are easily removed so if they are sold separately it would add more options for variety. Highly recommended.

Nice Hat

It’s a nice hat and fits just right for me. Was a smidge loose at fittest, but the hat band allowed me to tighten just that smidge, and now fits perfectly. I even had a sales clerk say “I like that hat.” I’m glad I bought it.
