Rattlesnake Dance Mask
Hand Made in New Mexico, and used for ceremonial dances, this mask is truly a one-of-a-kind. The two snake rattles above the eyes do give an ominous hissing/rattling ... and were from two VERY large diamondbacks.
The Golden pheasant tail feathers the Lady Amherst white with black barring neck plumes, the Macaw tail feathers; someone spent a lot of time both thinking of the pieces and building the mask.
Beautiful, eye-catching, functional, unique ... and just a bit frightening!
