"Straight Breech" Percussion Saddle-Ring Carbine. #445, .54 cal. 22" tapered round barrel with starndard sights marked with maker's name, caliber, black powder warning and "New Model 1863" at breech. Receiver with dropping breechblock operated by serpentine lever/trigger guard lacks a pellet primer mechanism.
Forend of oil-finished walnut retained by a spring-band, matching buttstock has crescent buttplate. Condition is like new retaining appz 99% black-blue, smoky case colors and smooth unmarked wood. No FFL required
