Today: September 15, I finally got the last few loads out of the old place. Officially, the old store is more gone than todays bison. And I have a grand new plan. Bob and I are creating a "List"; we will add to it every day and deduct things on the list that have "gone away". It is intended to be all the remaining crazy sale items ... but we will add things as we dig them out from the move. I Expect that the "List" will be an ongoing project well towards the end of this year ... I have that much "stuff" to get gone. The list is being called "Out with the Old" You have to request the list; we won't bother the rest of you who don't care about the wild price reductions on things like bison leather vests, low inventory gloves, jewelry, special knives, art prints, books and so much more. I will have a separate email address up here very shortly. You email and ask for "The Out with the Old list". You can ask for it just once; or weekly or monthly (not doing daily just yet). See something on the "list" you want, write me at my regular email (not the new special list request email, please). We will work out the details. The New Goodnight "Distribution Center" is receiving visitors already. If you want to come by, call me -817-992-8220 as far in advance as you can! The freezers are well stocked with bison steaks, bison brats and hot dogs, some burgers still left, some of our "buffalo cocaine" .... well, that's what a bunch of the bison jerky "addicts" call Gehl's Kippered Bison jerky. Still a little bison corned brisket, as well. Isaac promises the "new" website look is really close to done! STAY TUNED!

From our great friends at T.B. Phelps - the short work/hiking/knockaround bison leather boot we have been trying to get made for years.

Briar American bison hides (that apparently came out in two shades - was not suppose to be two shades!!) and a well molded sole.  Enough padding at the tongue and ankle makes for ease of walking.   The leather is very nicely tanned and dyed; about a 3.5 oz and lined. 

If the shade of "Briar" makes a difference (see the picture of the two pair next to each other for contrast), I suggest you call me at 817.992.8220 to see what shade your size might be.  If you are not that particular, just want a great low boot, then get your pair before they sell out.  There will be no more this year - more manufacturing shortages like almost everyone else

Very comfortable for just knock around ... and I am sure it will be for hiking as well.

Size seems to be very close to true ... might go up a half if you are sort of between sizes - I wear between an 9.5 and 10 ... and the 10 in this boot is perfect!

Took us a long time to get these in ... only so many per size.

Incredible Boots, Incredible Service

I was looking for a pair of boots that would provide comfort, strength and would last more than the usual boot life span. When I saw the TD Phelps, I was sold and I ordered a pair. When they arrived, I tried them on and they were too big. Yikes. What to do. I emailed and called Cecil - I believe he was in Alaska at the time. I wanted to know if there was a smaller size and if I packaged these up and returned them, would he send me a smaller pair? Even though he was traveling, he got back to me, let me know that YES, there was ONE pair available that was smaller and when he got those back, he'd send me an exchange. I immediately packaged my return, drove to USPS, and sent them. I texted Cecil the tracking info and he sent me the smaller pair - even BEFORE he got my return! On top of that, he enclosed a pair of bison insoles, just in " case they were a tad big." I am so thrilled with these boots, and the insoles make them even more perfect. Well, let's not forget my bison socks. Oh my, my toes are happy already that they will be toasty warm this winter. Thank you Cecil for your extrodinary service and thank you T.D Phelps for your phenomenal craftsmanship.

Logan boots and Jacaru jacket and SOCKS

Everything I purchase from Herdwear is superior to other materials bought in stores or online. I do not see myself getting my stuff for my feet and my warmth from anywhere else. I wish you made sneakers.
