Buffalo nickel 1/2 rolls from Chicago Federal Reserve - Sealed rolls - Old and wonderful

I got a chance to buy 41 of this old rolled and unopened 1/2 rolls (nickels usually come 40 to a roll - these are 20 to a roll) - buffalo nickels with the Chicago Federal Reserve stamp on them.

They came wrapped 10 rolls to a sealed corrugated cardboard package.

I opened one package and here are the rolls

I have only opened one roll (at random) and indeed all 20 nickels were full date or partial date buffalo nickels ... these from the 1920's and 30's.  These are little jewels in the buffalo nickel world.  Some wear, but WAY BETTER THAN most of what we find.  Most of what we see are  "no dates" ... worn so hard that the date under the "Native Chief" on the front.  That image is a composite portrait of Three Indian Chiefs – Iron Tail, the Chief that faced General Custer at the battle of Little Big Horn, Two Moons and John Big Tree.

Not these jewels!  Virtually every date was legable .... after all, they have been out of circulation for over 80 years!

The Buffalo nickel or Indian Head nickel is a copper-nickel five-cent piece that was struck by the United States Mint from 1913 to 1938.

Who knows what hidden gems might be in these little rolls (with the 20 nickel -$1.00 stamp on them).
