Yes, folks ... BIG NEWS and GOOD NEWS. I am here through end of July. Then the Goodnight Historical Center takes over the store and land . A lot of our best products will be carried over into their store, thankfully. I am also building a new house on the North side of US 287 .... and (sssshhhhh) most likely will still have jerky, meat and a few other things available there. This jacket is just sensational!  No other words for it!

The finest bison leather jacket (both the mens and ladies styles) I have ever seen ... in over 30 years of working with bison leather - bar none!

This leather has been tanned and thinned to perfection .... so light, yet so beautifully unique.  I've never seen American bison worked this light in weight. 

This "Cinnamon Bubble" technique is also like nothing else I have ever seen; re-emphasizes the actual bison leather grain but in a unique and very upscale way without being "fussy".

The workmenship on the jacket itself - the pinstriped lining, the stitching, the trims - are just exceptional.  Zippers are good brass and stitched the way zippers ought to be stitched .... straight, tight and without anything to interfere (though a little wax is always a good idea to keep them gliding correctly.

The styling and the accents .... a little bit biker; a little bit Paris ... and a whole ton of quality.  Nothing else like it  ... anywhere!

These are intended to fit snuggly ... and they do, but the cut is done with a great appreciation of and respect for the female form.

Just so you know, the tanning and the stitching were both done in Leon, Mexico.  Watch for virtually ALL the high end boot companies to have leather from this tannery this coming season. - 

And don't forget to look at the Men's ":Cinnamon Bubble" and "Old Grizzle" bison leather vests, as well.

Platinum Level customer service and unmatched item quality- Jacket and Bison Robe

I saw this jacket when I happened across the Herd Wear store on a trip from Colorado to Dallas. My wife wasn't with me, so I contacted Cecil to inquire on getting one sent to my home for her to try on. Within days the jacket arrived and my wife tried it on immediately. The fit is fantastic and the finish / quality of the jacket is unmatched. Not a single flaw or loose thread. Absolutely amazing. While I was in the store I had also seen many bison "robes" (fur hides) hanging on display. My wife and I decided one who be perfect in our home, so I asked Cecil in another email. In short order Cecil had pictures and exact descriptions of several option from which we could choose if we desired. His helpfulness and the level of personalized customer service is first rate. Just as the jacket, the "robe" arrived in a few days and it, like the jacket, is absolutely amazing. During the course of these weeks (jacket and robe) I talked to Cecil a couple of times by phone. My impression of Cecil is that he may quite possibly be the most polite, up-front, honest, and genuine person (and businessman) I have ever met. My over-arching comment to anyone reading this review is that you can rest assured that anything you purchase from Cecil will be 100% as advertised and the service will be excellent. I welcome any future customer questions and offer Cecil to share our contact number should anyone need to speak with a previous customer.

Great jacket but did’t fit

I fell in love with the jacket on the website. Being in FL, Cecil sent the jacket “on approval”’ very generously.
The jacket is beautiful, lovely leather, but just didn’t fit my body type. I returned it, no problem. Thanks Cecil, better luck next time...
